Finally, we are cutting asparagus. That's right, fresh asparagus for your dinner table tonight or whenever and whatever is your favorite way to eat it, some even like it raw.

Even though "picking" has come to a halt, Outback Farm continues to make available other products. We are harvesting delicious tomatoes right now and anticipating a nice crop of melons, watermelon and cantaloupe. They were awesome last year and we expect the same this year.

July 14th- so even though the 2016 blueberry season approaches it's close remember we have frozen blueberries for you until next season. If you find yourself at a closed gate, just call one of the numbers for assistance. We are almost always available.

June 13th - OK so which is your favorite? Duke,Legacy, Toro, Bluecrop, Bluegold, Bluejay and oh yeah, don't forget the Chandlers. They are ready and the bushes are loaded, really loaded. Open 6am to 6pm, seven days a week.

June 6th -if we could make mapping easier we certainly would but we can only recommend you use MAPQUEST for accurate directions to Outback Farm in Pryor OK. We look forward to seeing you.

May 29th - Lots of blueberries here waiting for you. Started picking the Dukes first but by the time you get here some of the blues like, Bluecrop, Bluegold and Bluejays may be ready too.

April 10th - yes, yes, yes asparagus is ready. We are cutting daily and it's first come first serve. Be sure to add some fresh asparagus to your menu soon.

March 18th - OMG! Asparagus is already peaking through the soil, so awesome. We have already had calls from folks wondering when it would be ready. I'd say pretty soon. Once we start cutting regularly we will have enough asparagus ready for you fans. It is so-o-o good. During the season we may eat asparagus for breakfast lunch and dinner in some way shape or form. Weird?

July 26, 2015 -
the pace has slowed down a bit here at the farm, at least where blueberries are concerned. Even though our starts were so late we are beginning to harvest cucumbers, with hopes of peppers and tomatoes to follow. Who knows but you can always give us a call to see what's available. Frozen blueberries, raw honey and our other blueberry products are available now. Pecans are on the way....fall is the time for pecans.

We are keeping a good supply of pre-picked blueberries on hand for those of you who just don't have the time to pick your own. Most of the varieties we grow are ready to pick now, and that includes the CHANDLERS so many of you have been waiting for.  Blackberries are available but in a limited supply.

Join us, come heaven or high water, the blueberries are ready. You might want to bring a rain poncho and galoshes just in case it rains some more. Locals remember, Cole Strang road is closed. Access from True Rd. to 470. Out of towners easy access is from Hwy 69, east on 470 for approximately 7miles to farm.

If the gate is 'open' please proceed but remember to give us a few minutes to come up from wherever we are working so we can assist you. - July 12, 2014 - NEW HOURS NOTICE -
Outback Farm will be closing at 5:00pm for the duration of the picking season. However, please remember that you can always call to make whatever arrangements are convenient for you regarding picking times. The gates will continue to open at 7:00am (unless prior earlier arrangements have been made). We are happy to try to accommodate our customers at every opportunity if at all possible. You can also call us whenever you see the gate closed to arrange to pick up products or produce throughout the summer.

I think I see gourds and dill hereJune 29, 2014 - Blueberries are abundant and for the CHANDLER fans we've started picking those too. Just about every variety we have is available now. People are liking the idea of being able to take home some ripe and just off the vine tomatoes and cucumbers. I hear the fresh cut herbs are going into pestos and pickles, yum! Come and check things out, each day offers something a little different. We never know what the herb garden and high tunnel are going to have ready for us til we go and get it.

June 5, 2014 - I tasted my first fresh off the bush blueberry this morning from our 2014 crop. Friends, they are ready, it's blueberry pickin' time! We will be open tomorrow, Friday, June 6th at 7am and we will call it a day at 7pm. Outback Farm will be open seven (7) days a week during the blueberry season. Come on out.

May 29, 2014 - Yup, we've been busy... adding other produce you may be interested in when the time is appropriate. These will not be u-pick produce but we plan to have some tomatoes, peppers, melons and herbs this season for you to enjoy along with your blueberries. Later in the season pumpkins and in the fall don't forget about pecans.

MAY 2014- some of you may have noticed our high tunnel last season. We've planted tomatoes (several varieties) and peppers (both sweet and spicey) and will have some for you to take home from the farm and directly to your table. Not going to be the volume of the blueberries but our veggies will be fresh and local. We'll let you know when and what is available or you can just come ahead and be surprised when you get here.

We have FROZEN BLUEBERRIES that will be available as long as our supply lasts. So when the fresh blueberries are gone and the blueberry bug bites you just give us a call and we will set aside what you need for you to come and pick up. Oh yeah, don't forget the blueberry products we have available too:
  • handcrafted blueberry soap
  • blueberry maple syrup
  • blueberry balsamic vinegar
  •  blueberry BBQ sauce
  • blueberry chipolte BBQ sauce
  • jams (blueberry, blackberry, strawberry and elderberry)
  • raw honey

These products are available to you year round. Call us with your "wish list" and we'll get it ready for you. If you are in the neighborhood and just want to stop by you can do that too. If the gate is closed you will have to give us a call so we know you are ready to shop. Thanks folks!

June 23, 2013-During blueberry season we are open 7 days a week from 7am to 7pm or by appointment. We try to be flexible so you can enjoy picking blueberries at a time that works best for you. FYI -Mapquest works well if you are trying to locate Outback Farm and you can always call for directions. 
June 9,2013 - QUICK UPDATE....IT'S TIME - blueberry picking season arrived overnight, yup, they are ready and waiting for you. June 15, will be our official first weekend open for this years picking season but for any of you die hards that cannot wait til the weekend come ahead. Gateopens at 7AM unless you've made previousarrangements.

Gee, those products were so popular we are going to do our best to make them available for the 2013 season as well and we may even add a few other surprises.
